Copying or Printing - keep your cards!
You can save 5 cents a copy if you purchase a photocopy card and use it to pay for your photocopies. Cards cost a dollar, and you'll need a single dollar bill to buy one. Alternatively, during business hours, the circulation desk can sell you a pre-loaded card for $5 or $20 (exact change or check only). Copies are 10 cents with the card, 15 cents without it.
Printing works on a similar system, but with a different card. Again, you'll need a $1 bill to purchase the card. Then you can add cash or use a credit card to add value to the card online. Printing from the library computers costs 10 cents per page.
In any case, keep your card! They're refillable, work in all campus libraries and will save you time and hassle on your next visit to a CU Boulder library.
Avoiding Fines
Did you know that you can renew your library materials online? Just click on the "My Account" link at the top of the library website to log in to your account. When you have an overdue book, we will send a notice to the email address we have on record for you. After 30 days overdue, you will receive a bill in the mail for replacement costs plus non-refundable billing fees. The library is unable to waive these fees. Although we have eliminated fines on most non-reserve materials, you can avoid these additional costs by returning your books on time or renewing your materials in a timely manner.
